Lynette Nangala Brown
Lynette Brown was born at Malara, west of Kanpi Community, in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands of South Australia. Her parents were travelling by donkey and camel from Amata towards Mount Davis in Western Australia when Lynette was born.
Lynette lives in Irrunytju (Wingellina) and although she lives in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands, her heritage is Pitjantjatjara language and culture.
When visiting relatives in Blackstone, Lynette paints at Papulankutja Artists; however, most of her painting is done at Minyma Kutjara Arts Project in Irrunytju.
Lynette is the daughter of well-known artist Anmanari Brown. Her sculptural work and paintings are narrative, telling stories of life on Country and in community.
