FISH TRAP DREAMING
Ngurunderi showed my people how to make fish traps and fish nets back in the Dreamtime. Some of the old stone fish traps are still there in the Coorong. Some have also been vandalised by people. That makes us sad.

Ngurunderi showed us how to catch fish, how to hunt, and how to live on our land. Ngurunderi, along with his family members and Pondi, the big Murray Cod, made all of Ngarrindjeri Country — the land, the rivers, and all the landforms. He taught us how to live on the land. He gave us the lore, the dance, and everything we need to live.
