Marie Simplicia Tipuamantumirri

I was born in Bathurst Hospital, run by the Catholic Mission, and went to St Theresa School in Wurrumiyanga, then St John’s College in Darwin.

After school, I became a bilingual assistant teacher, literacy worker and translator. I moved to Pirlangimpi with my husband and three children a long time ago.

I have worked with the Art Centre for many years while teaching and doing other jobs in the community.
