Cushion Covers

Our wool cushion covers are artisanal and hand made using hand dyed wool embroidered, again by hand, onto a natural canvas base. This is a traditional Kashmiri craft that has sustained rural folk in one small region of Kashmir, for centuries.  This area overlays the contested India & Pakistan border. We have united these artisans with Australian Aboriginal artists to create a unique and very successful partnership that brings economic and culturally sustainable benefits to both communities. These cushions have a cotton canvas reverse side that closes with wooden buttons, they are 100% plastic free.

Our canvas and velvet cushions are all made from digitally printed natural cotton and bring economic benefits to the same communities.

Aboriginal Art Cushion Covers

Our flagship iconic wool Aboriginal art cushion covers bring together authentic Australian Indigenous artwork and centuries-old Kashmiri embroidery traditions. Skilled artisans in the Kashmir Valley hand-dye wool and meticulously embroider each design onto a natural canvas base, creating richly textured pieces that celebrate both cultural heritage and exceptional craftsmanship.

The wool itself is sourced from Australia and New Zealand as this is the best quality wool.

Through a unique partnership between Australian Aboriginal artists and Kashmiri artisan communities, these cushion covers provide meaningful economic opportunities while helping preserve traditional art forms. Each piece tells a story of creativity, connection, and cultural exchange, resulting in home décor that is both beautiful and supports indigenous cultures.

TRADITIONAL KASHMIRI HAND EMBROIDERY

Our wool cushion covers are crafted using an embroidery technique that has been practised for centuries in the Kashmir Valley. Skilled artisans hand-dye wool before carefully embroidering each design onto natural canvas, creating detailed, textured artworks that cannot be replicated by machine production.

SUSTAINABLE AND PLASTIC-FREE DESIGN

Our wool cushion covers feature a natural canvas reverse with wooden button closures and are completely plastic-free. Our canvas and velvet cushion covers are made from digitally printed natural cotton, offering a sustainable and durable way to showcase Aboriginal art in your home.

SUPPORTING ABORIGINAL ARTISTS AND ARTISAN COMMUNITIES

Every cushion cover features licensed artwork from Australian Aboriginal artists. Royalties from each sale directly support artists and their communities, while the production process creates ongoing employment opportunities for artisan families in Kashmir, delivering lasting economic and cultural benefits to both communities.
