TURTLES
The turtle is important to the Tiwi people—both in Dreaming stories and as a food source. Lepidochelys olivacea (Olive ridley turtles) are the most common species found on the Tiwi Islands. Flatback turtles (Natator depressus) and Green turtles are also present. Ensuring healthy turtle populations is important to the traditional Tiwi owners.

The other are in-house turtle designs, part of our Eco Collection and generate royalties for Australian ecological organisations.
