Ngurunderi, Nepeli and Waiyungari are in the Milky Way. Ngurunderi travelled down the Murray River, shaping our Country with the help of Pondi, the great Murray Cod. Together, they formed Ngarrindjeri Country.
When their work was complete, Ngurunderi lifted his canoe into the sky, where it became the Milky Way, and where he still resides today.
