NGANAUWE NGARRINDJERI PEGGERALIN
(MY NGARRINDJERI COUNTRY DREAMING)
When Ngurunderi travelled down the Murray River in his canoe, chasing the great Murray Cod, he formed the Murray River, the lakes, and all of Ngarrindjeri Country. He also created the Ngarrindjeri people, who live along the River Murray, the lakes, and the Coorong. He taught the people their lore, dance, and song, and everything they needed to survive and live day to day on their Country.
This painting was completed during a developmental workshop with Better World Arts, supported by Arts SA. Cedric experimented with colour and line, evolving his work into a bold, flowing style saturated with life and passion.
