ZEBRA
The plains and the mountain zebras belong to the subgenus Hippotigris. Grévy’s zebra belongs to the subgenus Dolichohippus. The only species not endangered is the plains zebra. The quagga zebra became extinct in the 19th century. Zebras have suffered this fate due to their much sought after spectacular black and white coat, and due to diminished habitat. We think their stripes will look fabulous in your home, but only as a reproduction, never in the original.
