This piece is Damiens depiction of the Sand hills, Rocky Outcrops and Rockholes around his home country. Running through the middle of this painting is a dry riverbed. Kalimpinpa is a large rockhole that is considered sacred in this area. It is very deep and runs under the ground. The men will form a line down into the rockhole and pass buckets of water back along the line. The land around it is shown in a very abstract style.
